The National Sports Day was celebrated in commemoration of the birth anniversary of the hockey legend, Major Dhyan Chand. The day was marked by a special assembly which highlighted the significance of sports and play in an individual’s life. The students shared that playing a sport not only has physical and emotional benefits for an individual, but also imparts valuable life lessons. They also discussed the various measures being taken by the government to encourage sports in the country. The achievements and awards of various sports personalities were shared with the students to encourage them to take up sports, and aspire for a healthy and meaningful life.
