Prof. SK Palhan

Professor S.K. Palhan

Prof. SK Palhan is the Founder Director of Great Lakes Institute of Management, Gurgaon. He was also the Founder Director of Sri Sringeri Sharada Institute of Management, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi. He was formerly Industrial Adviser (Engineering) in the Ministry of Industries, Government of India. He has served as director on the board of three companies.

Currently, he is Professor of Operations Management in Great Lakes Institute of Management, Gurgaon; Advisor to CENJOWS (Center for Joint Warfare Studies), Ministry of Defence; Trustee of Indus Quality Foundation, an NGO for inculcating values in children.

He has taught courses on Production and Operations Management, Project Management, Creativity, Entrepreneurship, Technology Management, Self-Managing Teams & Business Ethics to post-graduate management students. He leads the Karma Yoga program at the Gurgaon campus for solving problems of schools and villages in the neighbourhood.

Prof. Palhan has conducted more than 300 programs on Self-Effectiveness & Team-Building in a large number of Companies, Banks, leading Management Institutes, Scientists of National Labs and Judges of Delhi Courts. He is also engaged in rural development and computer literacy projects in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, along with students and teachers of The Srijan School.

Prof S.K. Palhan is an Electrical Engineering graduate from I.I.T Kharagpur. He has done his MBA from Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi, and has undergone an Advanced Training in Industrial Management in the Netherlands.

His publications include “Managing Projects”, published by New Dawn Press, Inc., USA, UK, and India; “Defence Industrial Base – 2025”, published by CENJOWS in 2010; “Self-Effectiveness – The Power of Meditation”, published by Sterling Publishers.

Prof. Poonam Batra

Prof. Poonam Batra

Poonam Batra is Professor of Education, formerly with the Central Institute of Education, University of Delhi, India. Her work spans multiple areas of knowledge: public policy in education; curriculum and pedagogy; teacher education and gender studies. Her recent research examines the politics of school and teacher education reform; comparative education imperatives; inequalities, education, and sustainability; and decolonisation of teacher professional development. Professor Batra has been instrumental in designing and implementing the Bachelor of Elementary Education Programme, the first professional elementary teacher education degree programme in the country at University of Delhi. She is currently Co-Investigator and India Lead on the GCRF funded Transforming Education for Sustainable Futures (TESF) southern-led research network.

Sonia Shamihoke

Ms. Sonia Shamihoke (Junior School Head)

Ms. Shamihoke, a Delhi University degree holder, commenced her journey at The Srijan School in the year 2015 as the Junior School Head. With over three decades of rich and varied experience behind her as a Mathematics teacher in Sanskriti School and Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, Ms. Sonia Shamihoke is an epitome of quiet perseverance and excellence in the field of education.

She has an unflinching zeal, prudent foresight and passion for holistic development of students. She firmly believes in collaborative learning, specially in the initial years, which will equip students to gel and twine themselves into the social fabric of our society. Ms. Shamihoke promotes a synergetic environment for the emotional well-being of the children.
